About Our University
Agbor Technical College is a state-run vocational and technical institution located in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria. Our mission is to provide quality technical and vocational education that empowers young people with practical skills, trades knowledge and entrepreneurial capacity equipping them to contribute meaningfully to the workforce, local economy and national development.

Academics
We provide hands-on training in key technical trades, helping students build practical skills they can apply immediately in the workplace. Our programs are designed to meet industry standards and support real job readiness.
Students receive structured workshop practice and trade-based learning that prepares them for national technical certifications. Each students graduates with the competence and confidence needed to succeed in their fields.
Beyond classroom training, we equip students with entrepreneurial skills, exposing them to opportunities for self-employment, skilled craftsmanship, and career growth in local industries.
At Agbor Technical College, we believe that education should go beyond academics. It should be a bridge to real-world skills, job readiness and self-reliance. We are part of the network of technical and vocational institutions regulated by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), which ensures that curricula meet national standards for technical colleges.

We provide training in a wide range of trades and technical disciplines, including: electrical/electronic work, mechanical and automotive maintenance, building and construction trades (carpentry, masonry, plumbing, etc.), computer/IT-related trades and other vocational skills required in Nigeria’s evolving labor market.
Our vision is to build a generation of skilled, confident and employable technicians & artisans who can drive socioeconomic development, innovation and entrepreneurship whether as employees, contractors or self-employed professionals.
Technical colleges play an important role in Nigeria by bridging the gap between formal education and practical industry needs.
